I’m turning language models into superforecasters.

I also build RL environments, evals and datasets, and I optimize inference down to the kernel, in CUDA and Triton.

In school I worked on computational chemistry, drug simulations and biostatistics, and later on cryptography and privacy-preserving machine learning.

I’m interested in AI safety, alignment, mech interp, longevity, and consciousness, machine or otherwise. Also climbing, bouldering, road cycling and Werner Herzog.

In my free time I contribute to open source: over 80 merged pull requests so far, to PyTorch, vLLM, SGLang, torchtitan, CuPy, Ray, ONNX, Hugging Face’s sentence-transformers, timm and PEFT, and Farama’s RL environments.

Research

I still think a lot about cryptography research. If you do too, write to me.
